These instructions (largely based on this page) assume you've already got Homebrew installed, with Homebrew git. I'm running El Capitan currently and in the past I've had extreme difficulty getting a PyGame setup working (on Mavericks), so I was pleased to find it was a flawless setup process on El Capitan (thanks go to the Homebrew contributors for streamlining it so well). The import system (import) is based on importlib by default. Major new features in the 3.3 release series are: A C implementation of the 'decimal' module, with up to 120x speedup for decimal-heavy applications. I needed to get set up for a project recently that used PyGame and PyOpenGL, running on top of Python 3. Python 3.3 includes a range of improvements of the 3.x series, as well as easier porting between 2.x and 3.x. ![]()
